Hello dear wildflowers,

I’ve asked some of the most encouragement wildflowers I know to share some encouragement during these weird quarantine and epidemic times. They will be posted during this month, very excited to share them with you! Feel free to share them with your loved ones as well an be sure to leave a comment.

I’ll start with a little mix-match of some of my personal recent instagram posts..
I hope you enjoy!

first off.. A little “ruffling your feathers”..

THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN NETFLIX 🙈 #sorrynotsorry I just had to get it out there..

I love how we’re seeing introverts thrive, that they get to show the world the wonder and treasures of solitude. I love how our skills can really be of value to the world right now.
I’d like to share a little advice I received,
when I was a little kid and were complaining about being bored,
my dad would always say “being bored is healthy”.
It was VERY annoying at that time, but so VERY true.

Last wednesday it was announced that most of Denmark would “close down”. They interviewed some people out enjoying their “last” night out with friends in a while.

A girl was asked what she’d spent her time on now she couldn’t spend time with her friends, she answered very frustrated “probably a lot of netflix”. I’d argue that this “lock-down” is VERY good for her.. and other people who feel the same as her.
I’ll repeat: “it’s healthy to be bored sometimes”
and may I add: don’t waste it all on netflix and facetiming your friends.

Embrace this time.
It can grow you.
You CAN come out “a better you” on the other side of the “lock down”..
learn a new skill.
or you can waste it all on netflix.
and screens..
it’s your choice.

and if I may throw in a little rant:
we’re incredibly privileged here in Denmark,
with our welfare system,
I don’t think I’ve ever been so GRATEFUL & PROUD to call this country my fatherland.
Also SO GRATEFUL for our prime minister @mette and the danish government for working SO hard and for handling this so so well,
so my challenge to the girl who felt it was SO unfair she couldn’t be with her friends,
maybe look beyond your own nose
and get out of your bubble a little.
Rant over.

I thought about giving some ideas on what to do, but that would defeat my whole point on “being bored is healthy for ya”.

Instead, remember when AWH’s theme was Childlike Wonder? I think that’s a great thing to remember to use right now.. I created a little list of the wonder, the childlike wonder and the childlike joy I’ve found around the world..

  • go on an adventure, EXPLORE somewhere you haven’t been before.. and preferably a place where there are no people 😏 oh, BONUS: bring a camera and play around taking photos or film some hidden gems.

  • there’s a really cool girl called Xandra, founder of Heroine Training she has (among other amazing things) a guide in finding wonder where you already are. Find her & her guide here; @heroinetraining

  • try a new art outlet and don’t overthink it.

  • depending on where you live, try that food, dish, drink, place, you’ve never tried before - takeaway style! and support a bleeding (small?) business!

  • buy glitter vagina keyrings from @glittergrej.

  • buy leggings in ALLLL the rainbow colours and patterns + colourful vintage from @oddlemon

  • take a walk through town AFTER closing time (when there’s also no people -cause: social distancing and LOOK at the buildings and architecture AROUND the big shopping windows. I’m always fascinated by all the beautiful and detailed architecture in my city Vejle!

  • put your “discovery” glasses on and walk around in your neighbourhood (+ maybe a little bit beyond that) and notice the many different houses, gardens, windows etc.. take your time to re-discover your neighborhood. (depending on how crowded your neighbourhood is, pick a time, early morning, late evening perhaps? when it’ less crowded)

  • make up or create a new game! you make the rules, and then you break ‘em! funnier if you have a kid around the house - or over FacTime!

  • She creates a cast FILLED with glitter of your own BREAST, need I say more? Book a time 👉🏼 @glimrende_bryster and until the world opens up again, enjoy her awesome art projects of glitter boobs"!

  • put on some lipstick. Dark & mysterious or Red & powerful.

  • oh, I also heard that @wondertheunicorn is selling her portraits as Digital Poster Prints on etzy, so check that out for some more WONDER to your life. ;)

  • inspired by Italy, there have been many cities who have made events to sing together from their balconies and windows. Do a little research on facebook to find an event in your city, or take the initiative to start one yourself? I know there are plenty in Aarhus and CPH if you’re Denmark-based.

  • also there are local facebook groups popping up EVERYwhere where people offer help incl. grocery shopping, babysitting, tutoring and walking your dog etc if you need an extra hand in these times. Whether you can help or need help you can find or create a local facebook group!

  • clear a wall - paint it, or throw up some old maps, pages from an old book or your favorite cartoon.. you can either use wallpaper glue or the less permanent and sticky: blue tack.

  • the symbol of the rainbow is promise. I’m not sure where it originated from, probably the Italians, many people are hanging a rainbow in their window to symbolize hope and as a reminder to each other that we’ll get through this.. together, but apart.

  • in the midst of this weird times, creativity is blooming and people are rising strong.. here are some accounts to check out who are sharing about the GOOD stuff happening in the world right now: @goodnews_movement and @goodgoodgoodco (If you click HERE both you AND I will get 7$ off the next issue which is what a magazine costs, so it’s a win-win).

I hope this filled your heart with more light and love! If you have some light hearted corona content you’d like to share with the wildflowers, there is room for a couple more posts, send an e-mail here and I (Line) will get back to you ASAP.

Have a lovely rest of your day,
don’t let anyone steal your greatness..

// love,
Line Xx
